Fourteen cars, thirteen journalists (get well soon, Sasha), five categories. The driving is over and so is the voting for Western Automotive Journalists' Best of the Bay, 2025.
Here are the vehicles in the running for Best Vehicle Under $50,000:
Alfa Romeo Tonale
Kia Sportage Hybrid
Subaru Solterra
Here are the contenders for Best Vehicle Under $75,000:
Genesis GV60
Genesis GV70
Jeep Wagoneer S
Kia EV6
The vehicles competing in the Best Vehicle Over $75,000 category are:
Dodge Charger Daytona 4-Door
As you see from the links, I have driven and reviewed six of those vehicles on this site before the Best of the Bay competition. Actually, it's seven. I just finished a week in the Alfa Romeo Tonale a week ago and that review is set to publish on November 15th. But evaluating those same vehicles in the context of Best of the Bay is different---they're being compared in a short time frame to other vehicles of their price class.
All 14 vehicles will be eligible for Best Overall, and key elments of tech are competing for a Best Tech award.
The votes and our comments are being tabulated. When they're announced, I'll announce the winners here, along with my votes and my reasoning for them.
