A year ago, I reviewed the 2025 MINI Countryman S ALL4.

This is different. This is the 2025 MINI Countryman SE ALL4.

"ALL4" is MINI-speak for all-wheel-drive.
The "E" stands for "electric".

The gasoline-powered S makes 241 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, gets to 60 from a standing start in 6.3 seconds and has an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 27 miles per gallon combined city/highway.
With a 14.3-gallon fuel tank, that means an estimated range of 386.1 miles before a fillup in mixed driving, and 457.6 highway miles at the EPA highway figure of 32 mpg.
Swapping the dead dinosaurs for electrons gets you 308 horsepower and 364 pound-feet of torque, zero to 60 in 5.4 seconds and an EPA-estimated 91 MPGe, with 204 miles of range per charge.
That is on the low side for electric vehicles these days, but MINI says it is more than adequate for the driving needs and habits of the typical Countryman SE customer.
The 0-60 in 5.4 is impressive. The throttle response is rightnow and you're likely to run out of nerve (or points on your license) before the torque runs out of curve.

Beyond that, the story is the same as it is with the gasoline-powered Countryman. There's 25 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second-row seats. Fold those flat and it becomes 56 cubic feet.

Rear seat passengers get a solid 37 inches of legroom.

The base price of the 2025 MINI Countryman SE ALL4 is $45,200 ($46,195 including destination). Standard equipment at that price includes a decent suite of active safety features, a heated steering wheel and heated front seats, keyless entry, a power tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control with charcoal filter and rear vents, a 40/20/40 folding adjustable rear seat, panoramic glass roof, auto-dimming interior mirror and driver's side exterior mirror with logo projector, a six-speaker, 100-watt audio system, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L with a one-year trial subscription, roof rails, an alarm system, a 5G hotspot and the configurable "experiences" display, which in certain settings also changes the drive mode (Green, Go-Kart, Trail):
Our tester had a few extra-cost options: $3,200 for Iconic Trim (a Harman/Kardon surround sound system, interior camera, power front seats and privacy glass), the $900 Comfort Package Max (Active Driving Assistant Pro, auto-dimming inteior and exterior mirrors, Comfort Access keyless entry, augmented reality navigation and wireless device charging), $250 for Parking Assistant Professional, and $600 for a trailer hitch.
All told, the as-tested price of the 2025 MINI Countryman SE ALL4 is $51,145.

At that price, you can be forgiven for wishing for more range---but if your lifestyle acommodates a city car and you want as much fun as you can get in a city car, the 2025 MINI Countryman SE ALL4 is pretty tough to beat.
